Anambra State Health Insurance Agency (ASHIA), led by the agency’s Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Simeon Beluonwu Onyemaechi, today, took the message of health insurance scheme to the priests of Catholic Archdiocese of Onitsha who are having their annual retreat.
Dr. Onyemaechi, urged the archdiocesan priests to tap into the Anambra State Health Insurance Scheme as an affordable means of accessing quality healthcare for all residents in the state.
ASHIA boss also charged the priests to help spread the message of adoption model for health insurance to well to do members among their congregations to help in the sponsorship/enrolling others into ASHIA. This he said would enable the state attain universal health coverage.
The Archbishop of Onitsha Archdiocese, His Grace, Most Rev. Dr. Valerian Maduka Okeke, the auxiliary Bishop of Onitsha Archdiocese, His Lordship, Most Rev. Dr. Dennis Isizoh, the hospital administrator of St. Charles Borromeo Specialist Hospital, Rev Fr. Izunna Okonkwo were among the prominents that witnessed the sensitisation.
